Another Social Work Poem

In Words

Does it flow better in words?

Writing it down, will it be remembered?

The intake, assessment, and plan.

It gives us context and meaning to your story.

Does it make you real somehow?

Reviewing, editing and revising.

Can seem to make it better; make the story what you want it to be.

Or worse perhaps to make you a specific villain in your story?

Writing creates your own narrative.

Make you a victim or hero.

It makes your boogeyman real.

It makes me the witness you never had in your darkest, deepest, horrifying moments.

It make you real.
