National Social Work Month Giveaway!

I hope you are enjoying National Social Work Month and taking time to take care of yourself if you are a social worker or if you are not, recognizing a social worker in your life that has been helpful or impactful. I know there are a lot of social workers in my life whom I admire and there are ones from the past that I look up to and hope to aspire to be like in my career. In honor of this month, I like to giveaway gifts to other social workers as a sign of appreciation and love for them and their professional work.

So…on March 21st, I will be giving away a self-care box for social workers.  This box contains an amazing book called “Self-Care for Therapists” by Ashley Davis Bush and while this is targeted towards therapists, it can be helpful for social workers.  The box also has a sticker with the Just A Social Worker logo, a pink quartz(good for self compassion), SWag bag and a fun click pen with different colors to use with your badge reel.

How can you win?  You can be entered to win by emailing me about what you are doing to take care of yourself as a social worker, how you have been helped by a social worker or you can follow me on social media either through Instagram or Linked In.  You can also subscribe to the blog if you are not already subscribed.  I would love to spoil you and send this special box to you.  I will pick a person on March 21st and reach out to that person through email or instant message for an address to send the self care box.

What’s on tap for the rest of the month?  I will continue to celebrate social workers this month through social media and there will be one more blog post in March for National Social Work Month.  In April, I will be taking off that month posting in the blog to work on a few special projects.  I am working on a book for social workers and I am scheduled to present at a conference in May so I need to work on the powerpoint and presentation.  I will post about it later this month on how to attend and hear the presentation I doing on suicidal ideation and social workers.
